Bachelor of Education Studies (BES) student Pauline Bwen Ramirez from the Faculty of Education (FEd) has been selected as one of the two UPOU undergraduate delegates representing the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) at the National University of Singapore – Asian Undergraduate Symposium (NUS-AUS) of the NUS-AUS Summer Camp 2026, held at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from July 6 to 18, 2026. Another delegate from UPOU is Caiden L. Ramirez, a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies (BAMS) student from the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS). With the support and coordination of the UPOU Linkages, the two delegates participate in the international program, where they build lasting connections and foster collaboration with fellow students from across the region.
The annual NUS-AUS actively promotes cultural exchange, networking, and collaborative learning, and capacity development among undergraduate students from across Asia and member institutions of ASEAN University Network (AUN). With this year’s theme, “Communities in Action”, the symposium brings together more than 300 participants to move beyond academic discourse and develop practical solutions to real-world challenges. The two-week program explores the sub-themes of sustainability and innovation, inclusivity and resilience, and heritage and culture.
