The 2026 Mathematics Classroom Teaching Research for All Students (M-CTRAS) Conference was successfully held on 26-29 June 2026 at Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai, China, bringing together more than 300 mathematics educators, researchers, and academic leaders from around the world to discuss innovative approaches to mathematics education in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This year’s conference was organised through the collaborative efforts of Beijing Normal University, California State University Long Beach and University of the Philippines Open University. Asst. Profs. Dennis Lee Jarvis B. Ybañez and Angel Mae O. Ombid served as the International Program Committee Chair and Conference Secretariat, respectively.

During the opening ceremony, UPOU Chancellor Joane V. Serrano reaffirmed the University’s commitment to international collaboration in mathematics education and educational research. Prof. Yiming Cao, Chair of the 2026 M-CTRAS Conference Organization Committee, also delivered a welcome remarks alongside messages from Prof. Shuhua An, President of M-CTRAS, and representatives from partner institutions.

Led by Dean Charisse T. Reyes, a UPOU delegation composed of faculty members, REPS and seven students of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education who presented outputs from their scholarly work.
