Faculty members and an alumna from the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Education (FEd) participated in the eLearning Forum Asia (eLFA) 2018 held on 23-25 May 2018 at National Taipei University of Business (NTUB), in Taipei, Taiwan. The following papers were presented by faculty members at the conference:

  1. “Comparison of Various Practices in Teaching Chemistry in Face-to-Face Mode and in an Online Learning Environment” by Asst. Prof. Charisse Reyes;
  2. “eJournaling: Reflective Writing in Online Learning” by Asst. Prof. Roja Rivera;
  3. “User Acceptance of a Graphic Design Software in and for Online Education” by Asst. Prof. Ana Katrina Marcial; and
  4. “Video-Conferencing as a Transactional Online Learning Activity” by Asst. Prof. de Jesus

Ms. Loreta Dayco, an alumna of the Master of Distance Education, also presented her study entitled, “An Assessment of the Acceptability of UMED Online Among Physicians”.

With the theme, “eLearning for the Future”, eLFA served as a platform to engage scholars, professors, service providers, and thought leaders at a discourse with the aim of producing innovative pedagogical methodologies and practices.
