As part of the UP Visiting Professor Program, Dr. Don Passey, Professor of Technology Enhanced Learning at the Lancaster University, U.K, conducts a month-long visit from 4 February to 2 March 2018 at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna.

The visit is organized by the Faculty of Education (FEd) and is aimed at featuring the context of UP Open University and its current strategic directions and focus in relation to the current research interests of Dr. Passey and that of the University of Lancaster.

Dr. Don Passey is the course director of the Doctoral Programme in e-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning at the Lancaster University, U.K. One of his research interests focuses on the subject of leading edge technologies—its implementation and management— and teaching and learning outcomes arising from its usage, among others.

In line with his field of specialization, Dr. Passey will conduct two seminar-training workshops. On 14 February 2018, he will spearhead a session titled "Seminar on Inclusive Practices with Technologies for Online Teaching and Learning" to be held at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), UPOU Headquarters, with the UPOU faculty and the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) within Laguna as the main target audience.

On 20 February 2018, Dr. Passey will lead the keynote talk titled "EDUKussion Forum on Inclusive Technologies for Education" with the Basic Education sector as its audience. The event will be held at the Centennial Center for Digital Learning (CCDL), UPOU Headquarters. (CVMina)
